Classic Players/Young Thespians Registration and Audition Information

MHFA Classic Players and Young Thespians will be having auditions to select students for the 2014/2015 class.

Registration Deadline: Friday, August 29th, 2014.
Audition Date: Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014.
Audition Time: 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Please prepare a 1-1.5 minute monologue (memorized) and be prepared to sight-read a scene from a play.

Auditions will be private to allow maximum concentration on the part of the student. Please bring something quiet to do while you're waiting (read a book, etc.)

Please arrive by 9:10 a.m. so we can sign you in and begin promptly at 9:30.

Students will be notified of the results by Friday, September 5th.

Two Drama Performances

August 30th and 31st at 7:00 p.m. - Classic Players' Headin' for a Weddin' : What do you get when a hillbilly falls in love with a high society girl? A wonderfully delightful comedy! Headin' for a Weddin' tells the story of Homer Hollowbone, a hillbilly who falls in love with socialite Melissa Dugan. He writes her fancy letters, pretending to be rich, but things go awry when she unexpectedly shows up at his cabin. What follows is a splendid comedy filled with romance, mistaken identity and tons of laughs. Admission $5 per person/$15 family max.
